About the Event
Join us for Day of Dance with Des Moines Ballroom! Spend the day at the studio participating in a special Parent & Child Workshop and a variety of master classes designed to inspire and engage dancers of all levels.
Then in the evening, continue the celebration at the Johnston Wellness Center located on the campus of Grand View University, where the community comes together for an exciting night of Showcases, Jack & Jill dances, and general dancing.
It’s a full day dedicated to learning, performing, and celebrating dance with friends and the Des Moines dance community. We can’t wait to dance with you!

Parent Child Workshop
Schedule Workshop: 11:00–11:50 AM – Des Moines Ballroom Performance: 7:00 PM – Grandview University Johnson Wellness Center 1500 Morton Ave, Des Moines Who It's For One parent or adult (18+) and one child under age 12. What’s Included • Workshop to learn a fun routine to perform together • Practice video for reviewing at home • Admission to the Day of Dance evening event What to Wear Comfortable clothing for the workshop. For the performance, dress your best—matching outfits or something fun!
